Do we get Exclusive use of the Estate?

Yes, all weddings and events are held on an exclusive use basis.

How many people can you sleep across the Estate?

42 in total.

Which room would we have our Civil Wedding Ceremony in?

Your Civil Ceremony can be held in either the Hall, The Coach House, or Outside on our Terrace.

How many guests can we invite for a Civil Ceremony?

Main Hall:

The Vaughan Room, Capacity: 50

Cromwell Hall, Capacity: 70

The Coach House:

Capacity: 150


Terrace: 150

Who do I need to contact regarding the Civil Ceremony?

You will need to contact the Gwynedd Registrar office to book the registrars for your ceremony.

What is the maximum number of guests we can have for the Wedding Breakfast?


What time can we arrive at the Hall the day prior to our wedding?

You can arrive at the Hall any time from 3pm the day prior to your wedding subject to the accommodation charge only. We do not charge a venue hire fee for the day prior / day after.

Can we drop anything off before our wedding?

Yes, you can drop table plans, name cards, favours etc. Please speak with the team to arrange this for the week of your wedding. Couples who stay 2 nights and 3 days usually bring such items with them on arrival.

Do you have any highchairs we can use?

Yes, we have highchairs which you are welcome to use.

Can we have lunch or dinner at the Hall when we check in the day prior?

Yes, this is possible. Please speak with our exclusive catering partner: Cheeky Chilli Events to plan. 

What time do we need to leave the Estate the day after our wedding?

We offer a complimentary late check out at 3pm. Any keys that we may have provided must be returned before departure.

What time do we have to finish the party?

To conform with our Premises Licence and out of consideration for nearby residents, guests that aren’t staying on the Estate must depart for 00:30am. Resident guests who are staying onsite can enjoy further drinks from the residents bar within the Main Hall until 03:00am.

Can we put up a marquee?

If you have a larger wedding celebration in mind for over 200 guests, our grounds are perfect for a marquee. We have a tennis court very close to the Hall and a large front lawn at the front of the Hall.

Can we have Fireworks?

Yes. We do permit fireworks, please speak with a member of the team for supplier recommendations.

Do you cater for disabilities?

We have disabled access into the main social areas, as well as a disabled toilet situated in The Coach House.

Can we bring our own caterers in?

We work exclusively with Cheeky Chilli Events Catering for your day reception. We do permit you to organise an outside caterer such as a hog roast / pizza-van for the evening food only. This is subject to food and hygiene rating, public liability insurance, and the correct food safety documents being provided in advance.

Do we have a menu tasting session with the caterers?

You do, this will be arranged for you at least 6-8 months prior to the wedding.

Do you cater for special dietary requirements?


Can we bring our own wine in?

We have an extensive range of wines and champagnes for you to choose from. Unfortunately, we don’t offer a corkage option.

Can we taste the wine before we select it?

Yes, this is complimentary for the Bride and Groom. You sample wines at your food taster.

Do you have other hotels / B&B’s locally?

We have many guest houses located closely to Talhenbont Hall. Please contact a member of the team for the details.

Are you Dog friendly?

We are dog friendly and appreciate that your canine pals enjoy a good time too! We ask that whilst in the grounds, dogs are kept on a lead due to Snowy the peacock and Martin the Muscovy Duck who all freely wander around the Estate.

What is included within the Wedding Venue Hire Charge?

In addition to use of the Main Hall (downstairs, The Coach House & grounds:-

  • Two event managers
  • Dedicated food and beverage team
  • Chiavari limewash chairs with ivory seat pads
  • White linen tablecloths & napkins
  • 5ft 6 round tables (seat 8-10 people)
  • X2 6ft by 3ft trestle tables
  • Cutlery & crockery
  • Glassware
  • A bottle of champagne for the Bride/ Groom the morning of your wedding

Is breakfast provided?

A complimentary breakfast hamper is provided for guests staying in the Main Hall. You are welcome to organise additional breakfast hampers for guests staying in the Cottages.

What are the nearby attractions?

We are ideally positioned, being only 2 miles from Criccieth and the beaches of the Llyn Peninsula, many of our couples like to make the most of the picture opportunities by the beach. We are also close to many attractions  in Snowdonia.

How long can you provisionally hold a date for us?

We can hold a provisional booking for 7 days following the issue of your booking documents and nonrefundable deposit invoice. Your booking will be confirmed once we have received your signed booking contract and deposit.

What deposit do I have to pay when I confirm a date?

The deposit is £2,000.00, as well as a £1,000.00 payable to our caterers Cheeky Chilli Events. Total £3,000.00.
