The weather did nothing to dampen the excitement and joy for the stunning wedding of Fay and Rob on Saturday 7th December. After months of planning and working closely with the beautiful couple, we knew that even in heavy rain, their day would be everything they had dreamed of. What a wedding it was! The couple are gorgeous both inside and out, as are their families, who have holidayed in North Wales and have been regular visitors to nearby Abersoch since they were young. As a result, a North Wales wedding venue was their dream and they discovered Talhenbont months before the completion of our extensive Coach House renovation project. It was wonderful to see their day come together. The bridesmaids looked gorgeous in winter green and the groomsmen handsome in their tuxedos.
When the bride walked downstairs in her bespoke Suzanne Neville gown, we all gasped. Her shoes were also something special! The Wedding Ceremony took place in our beautiful Coach House, expertly dressed by the ever talented Springbank. The festive theme was subtle and stunning. Trees of glass baubles made up the centre pieces, to be taken away by guests as favours. The high ceilings allowed for incredible tall display frames of eucalyptus, pine and white roses and there were candles everywhere. It was a special moment when the bride and groom made their way back down the aisle.
The party kicked off with a champagne reception in the main hall followed by a stylish, vintage high tea in the Coach House. Cheeky Chilli, our event caterers, served up a delightful array of sweet and savoury tiers to all the guests.
The party then moved back to the hall where the guests made use of our bar and settled around the roaring fire. One of their talented guests took to the grand piano to entertain them. In the meantime, the fabulous band took over the Coach House and Cheeky prepared the Thai Street Food for an evening buffet.
Fay and Rob and their fabulous family and friends let their hair down and danced the night away in the Coach House until the early hours. They know how to throw a great party. We loved being a part of such a fantastic, festive, fun wedding and were so pleased that the couple chose Talhenbont for their big day.
